Assistant Girls Tennis Coach- Open Until Filled

Grundy Center Community School District is seeking a motivated Assistant Girls Tennis Coach to support our high school girls tennis program. The assistant coach will help develop student-athletes' tennis skills while fostering teamwork, sportsmanship, leadership, and a positive competitive experience. Responsibilities include assisting with practices and matches, providing skill instruction and individual feedback, helping prepare athletes for competition, supporting team communication, and promoting a safe and encouraging environment. We are looking for candidates who are positive role models, strong communicators, and enjoy working with students. Previous coaching or tennis experience is preferred but not required. FTC Robotics Coach - Open until filled

Grundy Center Community School District is seeking a motivated FTC Robotics Coach for our High School FTC Robotics program. The coach will guide students in designing, building, and programming a competitive robot while fostering teamwork, problem-solving, and leadership skills. Responsibilities include organizing and leading team meetings, mentoring students, managing competition preparation, and overseeing team logistics such as registration, scheduling, and communication. We are looking for candidates who are strong communicators who enjoy working with students and are passionate about STEM education. Academic Decathlon Coach - Open until filled

Grundy Center Community School District is seeking a motivated Academic Decathlon Coach that will prepare students for competition across a variety of academic subjects while promoting teamwork, critical thinking, and a commitment to excellence. Responsibilities include organizing practices, guiding students in content areas such as literature, science, math, and social science, and preparing them for objective tests, essays, interviews, and speeches. The coach will coordinate competition logistics, track student progress, and support team-building and outreach efforts. We are looking for an effective communicator who enjoys working with students and has a passion for academic enrichment. Strong organizational skills are essential; prior experience in Academic Decathlon or related academic activities is helpful but not required.

Preschool Paraeducator

Grundy Center Community School District is seeking a caring, dependable individual to join our team as a Preschool Paraeducator. This position supports our youngest learners by assisting with classroom activities, student supervision, and creating a positive, engaging learning environment. The Preschool Paraeducator works collaboratively with the classroom teacher and preschool team to support student growth and development.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Preference will be given to candidates who possess a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or an Iowa Paraeducator Certificate with an Early Childhood concentration
  • Candidates who do not currently hold these credentials are encouraged to apply and must be willing to enroll in an approved credential program upon hire

Status: Part-Time

Schedule:

  • Monday & Wednesday: 8:00 a.m. - 3:45 p.m.
  • Tuesday & Thursday: 12:00 p.m. - 3:45 p.m.

Pay: $14.50/hr. - $15.50/hr. (Range of pay based on experience)


Substitute Route/Activity Bus Drivers

Grundy Center Community School District is currently accepting applications for **Substitute Route and Activities Bus Drivers.** Shifts are available as needed.

A successful candidate will have a valid Iowa CDL License, Class B with airbrake and bus and passenger endorsement. All job offers are contingent on passing a DOT Physical and pre-employment drug testing.

  • Pay for Substitute Route Drivers is $48.44 per route
  • Pay for Substitute Activity Drivers is $16.50/hour, free admission to the event they drive for.
