Grundy Center Community School District is seeking a part-time (.5 FTE) 5-12 School Counselor to serve students at Grundy Center Middle School and Grundy Center High School. This position is available for an immediate start.

The preferred schedule is half-days Monday through Friday, providing consistent daily access and support for students. However, the schedule is flexible and may be adjusted based on the needs of the successful candidate and the district.

This position provides the opportunity to lead a comprehensive, ASCA-aligned counseling program focused on students' academic achievement, career readiness, and social-emotional well-being. The ideal candidate will build strong relationships with students, staff, and families while providing high-quality counseling services and collaborating with educators, families, and community partners to support academic planning, college and career readiness, and social-emotional development. The successful candidate will help ensure all students are supported, connected, and prepared for success beyond high school.

High School Head Baseball Coach – Open until filled

Grundy Center Community School District is seeking a motivated and dedicated Head Baseball Coach to lead our High School Baseball program. The head coach will be responsible for providing leadership and direction for the program while developing student-athletes’ skills, teamwork, sportsmanship, and character. Responsibilities include planning and leading practices, organizing game and competition schedules, supervising assistant coaches, communicating with students and families, managing program logistics, and promoting a positive and competitive team culture. High School Assistant Baseball Coach – Open until filled

Grundy Center Community School District is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Assistant Baseball Coach for our High School Baseball program. The assistant coach will work with the head coach to develop student-athletes’ baseball skills while promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, discipline, and character. High School FTC Robotics Coach- Open until filled

Grundy Center Community School District is seeking a motivated FTC Robotics Coach for our High School FTC Robotics program. The coach will guide students in designing, building, and programming a competitive robot while fostering teamwork, problem-solving, and leadership skills. Responsibilities include organizing and leading team meetings, mentoring students, managing competition preparation, and overseeing team logistics such as registration, scheduling, and communication. We are looking for candidates who are strong communicators who enjoy working with students and are passionate about STEM education. Technical experience is helpful but not required-willingness to learn and facilitate student growth is most important.

MS/HS Paraeducator *Anticipated

Elementary Paraeducator

Grundy Center Community School District is seeking dedicated Paraeducators to support the instructional and related service needs of students. Working under the supervision of licensed teachers, Paraeducators play a vital role in providing direct support to promote learning, independence, and inclusion for all students, including those with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Key responsibilities include implementing behavioral and instructional plans, providing individual or small-group assistance, and supporting students’ academic and physical needs to ensure a safe and positive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
  • Iowa Paraeducator Certification (preferred). The Grundy Center School District will pay the course registration fee one time for eligible employees.

Pay: $14.50/hr. - $15.50/hr. (Range of pay based on experience)

Grundy Center Community School District is currently accepting applications for **Substitute Route and Activities Bus Drivers.** Shifts are available as needed.

A successful candidate will have a valid Iowa CDL License, Class B with airbrake and bus and passenger endorsement. All job offers are contingent on passing a DOT Physical and pre-employment drug testing.

  • Pay for Substitute Route Drivers is $48.44 per route
  • Pay for Substitute Activity Drivers is $16.50/hour, free admission to the event they drive for.
