Update on Grundy Center Superintendent Search Process

Grundy Center, IA – The Grundy Center Community School District continues its search for the next superintendent, moving forward as planned.

Following a strong response to the position, 15 candidates applied, including five from out of state (Arkansas, South Dakota, North Dakota, New York, and Tennessee). The district is pleased with the depth and diversity of the applicant pool, which includes leaders with a range of experiences and educational backgrounds.

Candidate Screening & Next Steps

• March 4th: The Board will conduct screening interviews with five selected candidates.

• March 12th: Formal interviews will occur with the finalists, involving board members and designated interview teams.

As the process progresses, the Board will finalize interview logistics, confirm interview teams, and coordinate site visits. Ensuring community and stakeholder involvement remains a priority as the district seeks a visionary leader committed to the success of Grundy Center students and staff.

The new superintendent will officially assume their role on July 1, 2025.
